Hospiscare Exmouth & Lympstone

A local supporter from Lympstone raises much needed funds

Our great supporter Martyn from Lympstone has once again pulled out all the stops and his madness to raise funds for Exmouth & Lympstone Hospiscare. On Saturday 23rd December, 2017 he took on the task of walking 30km from Turf Locks to The Grove, Exmouth Seafront in celebration of our 30th Anniversary. If that wasn't enough he braced the freezing temperatures of the Exmouth Christmas Day Swim!

All of his tremendous efforts raised a magnificent £1001.48

Martyn quotes 'Many years ago myself & my partner Carol lost loved ones to life limiting illnesses, in those days we were not lucky enough to have such a wonderful charity around to help support us and our families. Being able to give something to help others benefit from this wonderful charity strikes a cord in our hearts. Giving up some hours of our time gives us a great feeling in the fact that we are helping local people face the biggest challenges of their lives, in our eyes these people are heroes along with the nurses of Exmouth & Lympstone Hospiscare who care for them'

On behalf of Exmouth & Lympstone Hospiscare and the patients and families that we care for a HUGE THANKYOU to Martyn and all of his followers for your continued support to our Charity.
